Make It March.

Back when I used to have free time and time in the kitchen that didn’t involve A wrapped around my legs, I used to make a lot of the stuff we ate: bread, granola, lemonade, cookies to name a few. I even made my own laundry soap and cleaners. But life happened. A happened. And I was too tired to do any of this. Buying it for the sake of convenience was easier than making it.

Make no mistake, I’m still tired. Life is still overwhelming at times. But II want to get back to that. I want to get back to knowing what goes into my food and saving money by making it. I enjoyed it so hopfully I can make it a hobby again.

So in the month of March, I want to try to make the items mentioned up above in addition to baby pancakes and muffins, breakfast bars, pasta, cooking spray, etc. I also want to dabble in non-food items like making laundry soap again and my own cleaners. Maybe even some beauty products!

Every Friday I will try to recap what I have been doing that week and I want to do a total savings at the end of the month!

Anyone else interested in the “make it” bandwagon?

  1. Good luck! I want to see recipes and savings!
I'd love to make our own laundry soap and cleaners. But when it comes to laundry soap I'm afraid too. Erin has such sensitive skin and he and Mackenzie has excema so I'm afraid to change from what I know doesn't bug their skin.
